There are a few simple Do’s and Don’ts to abide by during a gas emergency. Make sure to follow these steps to minimise the likelihood of harm:
- DO open your windows and doors to help fresh air circulate.
- DO NOT turn any electric switches on or off.
- DO turn the gas off at the gas meter or emergency control. Leave it off until the emergency issue has been repaired.
- DO NOT operate any electrical security system. Open the door manually when the Cadent gas engineer arrives.
